Event Details
Celebrate the launch of the Etty Darwin and the Four Pebble Problem StoryWalk by local author and illustrator Lauren Soloy, who will lead the inaugural walk!
A StoryWalk is a project that boosts movement and literacy by taking apart an illustrated children’s book and displaying it page by page along a walking route in your community. Read the story as you walk between the pages!
We will meet at the Port Williams Community Centre at 5:30pm. Lauren Soloy will take the group to the StoryWalk in the Port Williams Park and then return to the Community Centre at 6:00pm.
The Etty Darwin and the Four Pebble Problem StoryWalk will be on display in the park until the winter.
Registration is not required. This is a family-friendly event for all ages. Please note that this event takes place outdoors, so dress accordingly.
If you're in the neighbourhood for the StoryWalk, be sure to drop by our Big Fun Library Party happening across the road from 4:30-6:30pm!
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
